PATTERN THINKING IN MUSIC

A Visual Aid to Using Musical Patterns

DOWNLOAD - INSTALL - RUN - UNINSTALL

  Download

MS Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, W2K, NT, XP, Vista

pim1423Full.exe (18,994 KB) - installs the program, Patterns in Music, complete with its own Java platform (jre 1.3.1-01a).  The Java platform that is installed will not conflict with any other Java platform that may already be installed on your computer and will itself be uninstalled when Patterns in Music is uninstalled.

pim1423Min.exe (7390 KB) - if you already have a Java platform/jre/JVM installed, then you can save yourself some downloading time by using this installer.  However, this installer does not contain the demos or the Example.ser file (because of a potential class versioning problem).  As well, playback timing may be erratic depending on what combination of Java and Windows versions are on your computer.

Linux

patternsInMusic1422.tgz (9889 KB) - this installer contains the demos but not the Example.ser file (because of a potential class versioning problem).  You can make the Example.ser file for yourself by following the steps shown in the Overview demo.

This tarball was made using Xandros 2.0.
